I went to Lens Mills on Wednesday and was upset/happy to find they a section labelled "Dick and Jane". I thought "oh my, I went through all this trouble ordering it from Ebay and it's been in a store around the corner from my house!". But it turns out, they sold out a long time ago AND the one tiny piece they had left was $13.49/yard! I paid less than that! I put two Ladybird books that I bought at Value Village with the fabric for the photo op. I grew up with Ladybird books, they are the Dick and Jane of my generation.
Rhian made a copy of mum and dad's wedding photo for me. That same day, my dad told us about when he and my mum were in Paris, they saw all kinds of street peddlers. He thought the patrons that frequented the hookers got better value for money. How romantic.
That fabric is so cute! I really like the board game one, makes me want to play candy land! What are you going to make with it?
